Visit of Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Nikolayevich Patrushev to Stavropol State Agrarian University

Minister of Agriculture of. Russia Dmitry Nikolayevich Patrushev, as part of a working trip to the Stavropol Territory, visited the Stavropol State Agrarian University. The Minister examined the territory of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and held a large meeting with the rectors of the Agrarian universities.The Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Nikolayevich Patrushev was greeted by the Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev, Acting Rector of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, Professor Ivan Vyacheslavovich Atanov.

The Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation held a meeting of the rectors of agricultural universities of Russia "Prospects for the development of educational institutions of higher education, subordinate to the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia."

At the meeting, reports were made by leading scientists, university rectors.

Then Dmitry Nikolayevich Patrushev visited the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Stavropol State Agrarian University. This is one of the oldest faculties of SSAU, this year it celebrates the 80th anniversary of its founding (founded in 1939). The minister inspected the student canteen after major repairs. The area of the object is 1291.6 m2, capacity - 250 seats.

Dmitry Nikolaevich was presented an exhibition of innovative projects. Then the delegation got acquainted with the modern Scientific, Diagnostic and Medical Veterinary Center at the Stavropol State Agrarian University. This year, the Center became the laureate of the Golden Scalpel national veterinary award, and was recognized as the “Clinic of the Year”.

Dmitry Nikolaevich also talked with students who study equestrian sports during training.
