The UI GreenMetric World University Ranking is the first and only university ranking in the world to evaluate universities' involvement in the development of the green economy. The purpose of the rating is to attract the attention of the academic community to solving environmental problems and preserving natural resources.
GreenMetric World University Rankings measures university commitment to sustainable development and green infrastructure. The rating evaluates universities according to 6 parameters: the convenience of infrastructure, transport policy, waste treatment programs, the use of energy-efficient technologies, the conservation of water resources, as well as education in the field of sustainable development.
According to the results of the environmental sustainability of universities, Stavropol State Agrarian University took 215 place among universities in the world, 4 place among the most environmentally friendly universities in Russia, 1 place among Russian agricultural universities.
