The University celebrated Constitution Day

Every year on December 12, the Constitution Day is celebrated in the Russian Federation. Students of Stavropol State Agrarian University did not stand aside from the celebration of this memorable date in the history of our state. Teachers of university history prepared thematic presentations and videos, and also tested a quiz on knowledge of history and the main paragraphs of the main law of Russia.

Evgeny Vasilievich Tufanov, head of the Department of Philosophy and History, addressed the audience in the hall and spoke about the significance of the Constitution in the life of society and each individual person. “Today is a special day - the day of the Constitution of the Russian Federation. Students should learn and understand what rights are, what obligations are, responsibility for the fate of their country, their homeland, their people. Our students must become not only specialists, but also real citizens of their country. ”

With the help of speakers, Anna Wart and Belevtseva Alla, students of the faculty of secondary vocational education, the audience remembered the main provisions and historical milestones of the formation of the main law of Russia.

For the participant of the event, the video “Constitution of the Russian Federation” was also shown, after which the associate professors of the Department of Philosophy and History I.N. Kravchenko and O.N. Shmatko held a historical quiz on the knowledge of the Russian Constitution.

In conclusion, the professor of the Department of Philosophy and History S.V. also addressed the students. Janusz, who emphasized: “The Constitution plays a big role in the life of every person - this is training, this is medicine, this is an opportunity to get a profession. The Constitution, as a set of rules, helps to take place in life both as a citizen and as a professional. ”

From the history of the constitution:

The Constitution of the Russian Federation was adopted by popular vote in 1993.

The draft Constitutional Meeting incorporated many of the provisions of the draft Constitutional Commission and was adopted as the basis for the final revision of the Constitution with the involvement of the Federation, deputies, specialists, and working groups. It was this draft of the fundamental law that was put forward by the president for a popular vote.

The referendum on the adoption of the new Constitution was held on December 12, 1993. It was attended by 58 million 187 thousand 755 Russians, or 54.8% of registered voters. 32 million 937 thousand 630 voters (58.4%) voted for the adoption of the Constitution.

The Constitution officially entered into force on December 25, 1993, on the day of its publication.

The new Constitution of the Russian Federation significantly changed the structure of the highest bodies of state power. The principle of separation of powers was fixed in it, a serious step was taken towards improving the federal structure of Russia.

The Constitution of the Russian Federation has the highest legal force and applies throughout the territory of the Russian Federation. Laws and other legal acts adopted in the Russian Federation must not contradict the Constitution.

Upon assuming office, the President of the Russian Federation takes the oath to the people on a copy of the Constitution of the Russian Federation. The text of the oath is enshrined in Article 82 of the Constitution.

The binding of a special copy of the Constitution is made of the finest red monitor lizard leather, on the cover there is a silver coat of arms of Russia and the inscription “Constitution of Russia” embossed in gold.

A special copy of the Constitution of the Russian Federation is stored in the library of the Presidential Administration in the Kremlin.
