Students of the faculties of accounting, financial and secondary vocational education were united by one discussion platform “Digital Economy: Realities and Prospects”. During the discussion, the panelists expanded their research horizons, exchanged experiences and expressed a desire to continue meetings in a similar format.
The event, held as part of the Day of Russian Science, was opened by Tatyana Nikolaevna Uryadova, Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Analysis and Audit. Alexander Vitalievich Frolov, Deputy Dean for Research, Department of Accounting and Finance, addressed the discussion participants with a welcoming speech.
Novice researchers discussed the development of the digital economy, achievements and challenges associated with the introduction of digital technologies. Students outlined the current areas of digitalization in different areas of the economy. So, in particular, Svetlana Nekhorosheva and Alexandra Kondaurova, 4th year students of the direction of preparation “Accounting, Analysis and Audit”, studied the dynamics of the digital phenomenon in education, agriculture and the banking sector. Students of the 2nd year of the “Finance” course of the Federal Service for Financial and Social Protection Pavel Kuzin and David Abramov spoke about digital educational platforms.
Following the results of the round table, all participants were awarded certificates, and the research results that aroused the greatest interest were awarded with diplomas. The following reports were recognized as the best: “Cryptocurrency and blockchain: impact on the economy” (Evgeny Basov, 4th year, specialty “Economic Security”); “Cyber fraud and mechanisms to prevent and counter Internet threats” (Karina Feofanova, 4 year, specialty “Economic Security”), “Pros and cons of the digital economy” (Svetlana Nekhorosheva, Alexandra Kondaurova, 4 year course in “Accounting, analysis and audit”).
