On the basis of storage of mineral fertilizers, LLC “PhosAgro-Stavropol” discussed the “Agrochemical support of spring field work, early spring top-dressing of winter grains and the peculiarities of its implementation in 2020 in the Stavropol Territory”. The event was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Territory, the Department of Agriculture and Environmental Protection and the district administration. At the meeting, reports were presented by leading experts in the fields of physiology and plant protection, soil science and agro chemistry, agro biological technologies with traditional and tillage technologies, as well as a demonstration of exhibition materials.
At the meeting, the Stavropol State Agrarian University was presented by the head of the Department of Soil Science named after V.I. Tyulpanova, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Valery Sergeyevich Tskhovrebov with a report on the theme: “Features of spring feeding of winter wheat in 2020”. In his report, he talked about factors that must be taken into account in the wound-spring dressing:
1. The state of agricultural culture (increase or absence of biomass, quality of pheno phase passage, the presence of a secondary root system, etc.);
2. The nitrogen content (nitrate and ammonium) in the layer 0-20 and 20-40 and 0-100cm, mg / kg;
3. The content of mobile phosphorus, mg / kg;
4. The content of mobile sulfur, mg / kg;
5. The content of trace elements;
6. The stock of productive moisture in the arable and meter layer, mm;
7. Varietal composition of winter wheat;
8. Phyto sanitary condition of soils.
Valery Sergeevich specified that the information should be for each field, because differences within the holding can be very significant. The application of sulfur-containing nitrogen fertilizers should be carried out for varieties capable of producing strong and valuable grain of winter wheat (Adele, Ivina, Aksinya, Vassa Grom, Zustrich, etc.), but not for fillers (Tanya, Tanais, Agra, Fisht, Fortuna and etc.).

Professor Tskhovrebov emphasized that the warm winter of 2020 provokes the development of various pathogens in the soil and on plant debris. Excessive application of nitrogen fertilizers contributes to the development of diseases. Particular attention must be paid to fields with a high nitrogen content. A prerequisite is a combination of biological and chemical control methods. A prerequisite for making any decision is a survey of the territory (soil-agrochemical and microbiological).
