On the basis of the Pyatigorsk Technical School of Trade, Technology and Service the open Regional Championship "Young Professionals" (WorldSkillsRussia) of the Stavropol Territory - 2020 on competence "Hotel Management" among the students of Intermediate vocational education. During the three main competition days, all participants demonstrated their professional knowledge and skills in performing their tasks.
The Faculty of Secondary Vocational Education at Stavropol State Agrarian University was represented by Polina Kolesnikova, a 2nd year student. Kristina Navolokina, expert-compatriot, who was preparing a student for the championship, was a lecturer of SVE, Master of Tourism and Service Department.
Behind the counter the participants competed in the following modules: "Check-out and booking", "Check-in and walk-in", "Help the guest during the stay" and "Extraordinary situation in the hotel". The tasks were performed in English and Russian. The experts assessed the appearance, correctness, correctness of tasks and documents execution, as well as empathy of the participants.
According to the results of the championship, Polina Kolesnikova took the 1st place in the competence of "Hotel Administration". The student will compete in the qualifying competitions for the final of the VIII National Championship "Young Professionals" (WorldSkills Russia) - 2020, which will be held in April 2020 in the city of Veliky Novgorod.
