Students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine undergo practical training at the pig-breeding complex “Guards”

Students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine undergo practical training at the pig-breeding complex "Guard" in the village Sturm, Krasnogvardeisky district, Stavropol Territory. Trainees work on a pig farm, mastering the process of caring for piglets. According to students, work on such large pig-breeding complexes allows you to master practical skills in real production conditions.

It should be noted that students, members of the livestock team “Aibolit”, worked as animal care operators for a month. They fed them, monitored the conditions of detention and participated in farrowing process and took care of new-born piglets. Under the supervision of experienced specialists of the enterprise, young veterinarians conducted a course of preventive vaccinations, monitoring the health status and monitoring the nutrition of animals of all sex and age groups.

A specialized team of students will work at the Sturm pig farm until September 2020 according to the schedule of the educational process in the specialty “Veterinary”.
