Future veterinarians practice in the production environment of the EkoNiva-Agro agricultural holding

Students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Stavropol State Agrarian University became part of the All-Russian agricultural team "Bridge". Now they are undergoing practical training on the basis of the EkoNiva-Agro agricultural holding enterprise in the Voronezh region.

Classes at a large dairy enterprise started on April 5, 2020. Over the period of working weeks, the guys got to know each other, underwent trainings with EkoNiva specialists and set a number of tasks to become successful employees of the holding. In the future, students will be involved in the diagnosis, treatment, milking and feeding of animals, according to the schedule of the educational process of clinical practice. In addition to practical “communication” with cows, they are waiting for lectures on modern animal husbandry. 

After a successful selection, students undergo technological practice at the enterprises of the holding, work under an employment contract as assistants to specialists of the corresponding profile, receive a salary and a bonus based on the results of work, are provided with special clothing for the season, places of residence in comfortable hostels, two meals a day. The holding pays for students to travel to the place of practice and back. Experienced specialists of the enterprise and invited experts give lectures for trainees on modern technologies in animal husbandry, agronomy, engineering and mechanization.

EkoNiva cooperates with Russian agricultural universities.

For three months, students make a complete immersion in the production life of EkoNiva, get acquainted with the life of livestock complexes. They learn the basics and subtleties of veterinary medicine and zootechnics at work, as well as learn herd management, the specifics of fodder procurement and pharmacology, and much more.
