MGIMO held defense of graduation projects of students of the professional retraining program “Attache for Agriculture”

The agricultural training program was the first in Russia and expanded the line of MGIMO's programs in international trade in agricultural markets, which also includes master's and MBA programs. Students of the program received practical training on the basis of the FSBEI HE Stavropol State Agrarian University.

Dean of the faculties of Agrobiology and Land Resources and Ecology and Landscape Architecture, Doctor of Agriculture, Professor of Agrochemistry and Plant Physiology Department, Professor of Russian Academy of Sciences, Honored Worker of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Esaulko, Chairman of the Certification Commission at MGIMO.

Commission members:

• Deputy Director of the FSBI Agroexport Tatyana Ushakova;

• Head of the Department for Coordinating the Activities of the Atashat of the FSBI Agroexport Maria Afanasova;

• Head of the Department “International Agricultural Markets and Foreign Economic Activities in the Agro-Industrial Complex”, scientific director of the program “Attache for Agriculture”, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor Natalya Cherner;

• coordinator of the programs of continuing professional education at SBMK MGIMO Yana Ostashova.

The final stage of the defense of graduation work of students of the professional retraining program "Attache for Agriculture" took place. It is implemented on the basis of the Department of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia at MGIMO.

Students presented their projects for the analysis of Russian and regional agricultural markets, as well as programs for promoting Russian agricultural products in foreign countries, including the states of Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America. The topics were determined by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia taking into account the priority areas for the development of agricultural exports.

The Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sergey Levin also attended the online defense. He noted the high level of training of the course participants and the quality study of selected topics, as well as the responsible approach of students to the development of scientific disciplines.Based on the results of the defense of the final works, the selection of candidates for admission to the personnel reserve for filling the posts of foreign representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture will be completed. Some of them will go to foreign countries this year.
