An exhibition dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the regional branch of the Bank of Russia was held at the Accounting and Finance Faculty

First-year students of the Accounting and Finance Faculty attended a documentary photo exhibition illustrating the 125-year history of the regional branch of the Southern CA of the Bank of Russia. The exhibition was prepared by employees of the Bank of Russia and the Museum of Local Lore together with teachers of the Finance, Credit and Insurance Department.

Alla Ivanovna Chelovechkova, the leading economist of the economic department of the Stavropol Branch, introduced the students to the exhibition.

Photos and documents tell about people who developed the financial sector in the region.The students learned that the Branch of the State Bank was opened in Stavropol in 1895. Then the city was called Stavropol-Caucasian and was not the regional capital, but the provincial capital - the main one in the province.This is the story of people who, in the difficult years of the war, saved millions of values from Nazis occupied Stavropol, the story of the restoration of a peaceful life after the war, the introduction of the latest technologies in banking.Visitors to the exhibition were especially interested in the merchant's handwritten receipt of non-disclosure of bank secrets and the impressive calligraphic documents on the opening of the branch.

The exhibition also revealed to future financiers and accountants the history of the building, the address of which is now Lenin Street, 286, previously it was Hospitalnaya Street. It was created especially for the bank by the famous local architect Adrian Bulygin.

Thanks to the informative nature of the excursions, the students developed a holistic view of the history of the monetary and banking systems, and, in particular, the activities of the Bank of Russia.
