Stavropol State Agrarian University took part in the All-Russian Council of Young Scientists and Specialists

On the basis of the Federal Center for Toxicological, Radiation and Biological Safety (Kazan), the 16th All-Russian Youth Forum “The Contribution of Young Scientists of Agricultural Universities and Research Institutes to Solving the Problems of Import Substitution and Food Security in Russia” and the All-Russian Council of Young Scientists and Specialists were held. Within the framework of the work, the following took place: scientific and practical conference; round table on grant activities for young scientists; meeting of the All-Russian Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of Agricultural Educational and Scientific Institutions.

The Forum is included in the plan of events held with the information support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and the plan of events of the All-Russian Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of Agrarian Educational and Scientific Institutions for 2020, approved by the Department of Science and Technology Policy and Education of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.

Forum tasks:

- to discuss the latest research trends in the field of import substitution and food security;

- to determine the features and coordinate the vectors of development of the work of young scientists of universities and research institutes of the agrarian profile in the field of import substitution and food security;

- to share the forms of intercultural interaction, determine the best ways to take them into account in the practice of import substitution and food security;

- to study the issues and prospects for the use of modern technologies in the development of products and technologies of import substitution and food security;

- to consider a wide range of issues related to the theory, methodology and practice of import substitution and food security. 

Stavropol State Agrarian University presented:

· Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Stavropol State Agrarian University – Dmitry Eduardovich CHERVYAKOV;

· Member of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists, Associate Professor of the Department of Animal Feeding and General Biology, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor of the Stavropol State Agrarian University – Tatyana Sergeevna LESNYAK.

At the grand opening of the forum with the use of video conferencing, they made a welcoming speech:

- Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Sciences – Irina Mikhailovna DONNIK

- General Director of the Association "Agroobrazovanie" – Viktor Egorovich BERDYSHEV

- Director of the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Phytopathology – Alexey Pavlovich GLINUSHKIN

- Rector of FSBEI HE "Kazan SAU" - Airat Rasimovich VALIEV

- Rector of the Kazan State Academy of Veterinary Medicine named after N.E. Bauman "- Rustam Khametovich RAVILOV 

During the two days of the forum, more than 30 reports were presented on the activities of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of agricultural universities. Delegates from educational institutions at the forum presented promising projects within the framework of a scientific and practical conference with poster presentations. Tatyana Sergeevna Lesnyak made a presentation on the topic “Application of remote sensing techniques for accelerated pasture farming”.

The meeting of the All-Russian Council of Young Scientists and Specialists was attended by the Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Stavropol State Agrarian University – Dmitry Eduardovich CHERVYAKOV. At the meeting of the council, the issues of obtaining grants by young scientists and problems related to their receipt and the prospects for the future work of the All-Russian Council of Young Scientists and Specialists were discussed.

At the end of the forum, representatives of agricultural universities were given an excursion to Kazan State Agrarian University and Kazan State Academy of Veterinary Medicine named after N.E. Bauman”, also visited the Kazan Kremlin.
