Participation of the Stavropol State Agrarian University in the VI South-Russian International Veterinary Congress and the I Student Veterinary Congress

Students and teachers of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Stavropol State Agrarian University took on-line participation in the VI South-Russian International Veterinary Congress and the I Student Veterinary Congress. The Congress is rightfully considered the central event in the field of veterinary medicine throughout the Eurasian Economic Union. The high status of the Congress is due to the active state support and participation of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and the FSVPS, the main state veterinary inspectors of foreign countries and the CIS, as well as the high professional level of invited foreign and domestic speakers, including scientists and representatives of the administrative bodies of veterinary medicine from over 20 countries.
The Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Faculty of Biotechnology, Professor Valentin Sergeevich Skripkin made a welcoming speech to the speakers of the congress from the faculty staff.
The agenda covered all diagnostic and therapeutic problems that require immediate solutions, as well as the prospects for the development of veterinary sciences. The participants were 500 practicing veterinarians, 17 lecturers, 9 veterinary universities of foreign countries, 1800 full-time students from leading agricultural universities in the specialty 36.05.01 "Veterinary Medicine".
The business program of the event reflects the current state and best practices of both Russian and foreign veterinary medicine, as well as the spheres of production of products of animal origin, providing the industry with medicines for veterinary use.
For students and teachers, the event revealed new promising knowledge and skills in the following areas of veterinary activity:
- "Modern diagnostic approach in veterinary medicine";
- "Gingivostomatitis of cats";
- "Right parts of the heart: features of pathology, diagnosis and treatment";
- "Introduction to Cytology: Simple Cytology for the Laboratory Doctor".
At the end of the event, the main speaker, dean of the Faculty of BioVetMedicine of DSTU, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Alexei Mikhailovich Ermakov thanked all the participants of the online meeting, wished good luck and further improvement in his native veterinary specialty.
