The uniqueness of this lesson lies in the fact that the students had the opportunity to conduct a lesson with live objects (hatching eggs of chickens of 12 autosex crosses "DominantCZ" from the Czech Republic), presented by the strategic partner of the university - LLC "Agrokormservice Plus". It is important that in the course of the lesson, the graduate students demonstrated the acquired competencies to the freshmen, being the leaders of the working groups. The students' particular interest was aroused by the method of assessing the pigmentation of the shell of hens of original genotypes, since 4 out of 12 crosses are greenshell (GreenShell).
At the Biotechnology Faculty, an interdisciplinary interactive lesson was held in the form of "Practice-oriented tasks when working in groups" on the topic: "Assessment of the quality of hatching eggs of poultry" for 1st and 4th year students of the Faculty of Biotechnology and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
The lesson was conducted by: Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor of the Basic Department of Private Animal Science, Selection and Breeding of Animals Elena Edugartovna Epimakhova, she was assisted by senior teacher Natalya Aleksandrovna Agarkova and 3rd year postgraduate student A.A. Gorbachev.
The continuation of the work will be a commission assessment of the rate of embryogenesis and the quality of day-old chicks in an industrial hatchery.
