Insurer Day at Stavropol State Agrarian University

Day of the Russian insurer is a professional holiday for employees of Russian insurance companies. This date is celebrated annually, October 6th. The date of the holiday - October 6 - was not chosen by chance. On this day in 1921, the famous Gosstrakh of the RSFSR first began to work. Thus, it became the day of foundation of insurance activities in our country. Especially for this day, the Department of Finance, Credit and Insurance, with the support of the Stavropol regional branch of the insurance company LLC IC "Soglasie", organized the 1st regional insurance Olympiad "INSURANCE BATTLE".

The I regional Olympiad "Insurance Battle" was held with the aim of improving the quality of training specialists for the insurance market and increasing students' interest in educational activities and future profession.

The event was attended by students of the Accounting and Finance Faculty, the Faculty of Social and Cultural Service and Tourism of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, as well as representatives of the bachelor's and master's degrees from the North Caucasus Federal University.

The Olympics were held in two rounds. As part of the first extramural round (September, 2020), participants had to pass a competitive selection and complete their homework. The winners of the first round took part in the second full-time round (October 5, 2020), which took place on the basis of the Stavropol State Agrarian University.

During the full-time stage, students had to complete the following tasks:

- problem solving;

- creative task;

- competition of the company Consent;

- captains quiz;

- summarizing.

The jury included a specialist of the department for work with banks and financial and credit organizations of the Stavropol regional branch of LLC IC Soglasie, Viktor Balychev.

At the end of the competition, the prize places were distributed as follows:

1st place - the team "Hunters for Fraudsters" - 4th year students of the Accounting and Finance Faculty, profile "Finance and Credit" of the Stavropol State Agrarian University;

2nd place - the team "Insurance reserve of NCFU" - students of the North Caucasus Federal University;

3rd place - the team "Creative Insurer" - 3rd year students of the Accounting and Finance Faculty and the Faculty of Social and Cultural Service and Tourism of the Stavropol State Agrarian University.

The winners and participants of the Olympiad were awarded with diplomas, certificates of participants, as well as special gifts from the strategic partner of the university - SK Soglasie LLC.

At the end of the event, the representative of the insurance company - leading specialist of the direct sales group of the Stavropol regional branch of LLC IC Soglasie Lenkova Lyudmila Nikolaevna - noted that such events increase the interest of students in insurance, increase the level of insurance culture, contribute to the development of the traditions of their participation in Olympiads and competitions, as well as the process of acquiring additional professional knowledge and financial skills by students.
