Methodical seminar "MSFO - new accounting"

As part of the agreement on strategic cooperation between the Stavropol State Agrarian University and the St. Petersburg State University of Economics, a methodological seminar "IFRS - new accounting" was held online at the conference. The meeting turned out to be interesting and useful, broadened the horizons of professional knowledge, and caused a lively discussion among the participants of the event.

The speaker of the event was Vyacheslav Yaroslavovich Sokolov, Doctor of Economics, Professor of the Department of Accounting, Analysis and Audit of St. Petersburg State University of Economics.

Sokolov V.Ya. - the most famous representative of the accounting community in our country. Since 2000 he has been a partner of the largest international auditing company PricewaterhouseCoopers in Russia and the CIS. Leads an active public work to popularize accounting, is a member of various public professional organizations: the board of the European Association of Accountants from Russia, the American Association of Accountants, the Academy of Accounting Historians, the Methodological Council on Accounting under the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation of the previous convocation, the editorial boards of the magazines "Audit Sheets" , "International accounting", "Bulletin of professional accountants".

In the course of his report, Vyacheslav Yaroslavovich revealed the pressing problems of modern accounting in the light of the application of international financial reporting standards. He revealed the problems of transition to IFRS, expressed his point of view on the prospects for the further development of accounting.

The participants of the online seminar were students and teachers of Russian and foreign universities-CIS countries: SPbSEU, Mining University, Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, Far Eastern Federal University, Rostov State Economic University "RINH", Orenburg State University, State University of Management, Grodno State Agrarian University, Tashkent State Agrarian University, Tashkent State Economic University. The Stavropol State Agrarian University was represented by teachers, postgraduates and undergraduates of the Accounting and Finance Faculty.
