The SSAU Electric Power Faculty has completed a retraining and professional development programme for persons affected by the effects of coronavirus infection. The programme is aimed at providing support measures in the area of employment. The demonstration exam was held at the site, a demonstration exam centre accredited by WorldSkills Russia standards.
The main professional training programme for the lighting and lighting network installer profession (advanced training), taking into account the WorldSkills standard for competencies "Electrical Installation", is 144 hours. A total of 95 people has completed the training. Mentors were teachers of the Department of Electrical Supply - WorldSkills accredited experts with the right to hold a regional championship in the competence 18 - Electrical Installation.
The 4.5 hour demonstration exam consisted of four modules. Module 1: Switching junction boxes. Module 2. Switching of a floor distribution board. Module 3: Troubleshooting. Module 4. Relay programming.
Every day the Chief Expert received the assignment from the Waldskills Russia Union to his personal office, thus ensuring a multi-variant assignment.
The experts who evaluated the demonstration exam were representatives of Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol, MIRTEK and representatives of North Caucasian Federal University.
All trainees received a Skills Pasport, a document confirming their practical skills, at the end of the demonstration exam.
The competence of Electro installation includes a set of works related to electricity supply. This includes the installation of cable-bearing systems, the laying of power and information cables, the connection of devices and appliances, the installation of sockets, switches, switches, lighting fixtures and building automation systems.
The students demonstrated their ability to plan the work procedure, select and install electrical equipment, carry out diagnostics, debug and commissioning of electrical installations, prepare reporting documentation, and know and comply with safety requirements.
