Work meeting on crop condition

Under the guidance of Vladimir Sitnikov, Head of the Stavropol Territory Agricultural Department, a working meeting was held on crop condition.

It was attended:

- Valery Kulintsev, Director of FSBNU North-Caucasian FNAC;

- Vasily Egorov, Director of the FSBNU "Stavropolsky";

- Elena Batagova, Head of SK branch of FSBU State Committee on Consumer Rights;

- Head of the branch of FSBI Rosselhlsentr for the IC Andrey Oleynikov;

- Dean of the Departments of Agrobiology and Land Resources, Ecology and Landscape Architecture, Professor of RAS Alexander Esaulko.

The selector discussed the current state of winter crops sown in the fields of the Stavropol Territory, and gave recommendations on the formation of the 2021 harvest.

One of the key topics of the meeting was the moisture reserve in the soil. The selector also raised the issue of the phytosanitary condition of crops and the monitoring of mouse-like rodents. gibelline was singled out as one of the main crop diseases. Specialists call on farmers to start preparing for fighting crop diseases in winter, preventing development by spring.

Another topic of discussion was increasing the area under domestic selection of sugar beet, corn and sunflower crops.
