Participation of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in the 33rd General Assembly of EAEVE

The 33rd General Assembly of EAEVE was held online, in which representatives of veterinary educational institutions from all over the world took part. In total, the conference was attended by about 350 people. At the General Assembly, a number of issues related to the activities of the organization itself were considered and approved: the president's report on the work done, the financial report, the results of the audit, etc., and issues related to the quality of education.

From the Stavropol State Agrarian University, the conference was attended by:

–Skripkin Valentin Sergeevich, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Faculty of Biotechnology, Associate Professor;

- Orobets Vladimir Alexandrovich, Head of the Department of Therapy and Pharmacology, Professor;

- Kvochko Andrey Nikolaevich, Head of the Department of Physiology, Surgery and Obstetrics, Professor;

- Dilekova Olga Vladimirovna, head of the department of parasitology and veterinary public health, anatomy and pathological anatomy named after Professor S. N. Nikolsky, Associate Professor;

–Ozheredova Nadezhda Arkadyevna, Head of the Department of Epizootology and Microbiology, Professor;

–Agarkov Alexander Viktorovich, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine for Academic Affairs, Associate Professor;

–Grudeva Elena Aleksandrovna, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages.

One of the trends in the development of specialized education was indicated that most veterinary universities in various countries are moving away from keeping a large number of animals for educational purposes and the share of the private sector in the implementation of students' practical skills is increasing (attracting private clinics and farms for practical training). Also, adjustments were made to the accreditation procedure for universities in a pandemic.

The conference heard reports on the work done for 2019 and 2020. The President of the Association, Dr. Stefan Martinot, made a welcoming speech. During the discussion, the Strategic Work Plan for 2020-2025 was presented.
