"Syngenta" Scholarship Program for 2021 Launched

At the Faculties of Agrobiology and Land Resources; Ecology and Landscape Architecture, an online meeting was held between representatives of the strategic partner of the university "Syngenta" LLC with 3rd year students of the Agronomy. For several years the company "Syngenta" has been a leader in the world market of plant protection products, field seeds, vegetables and flowers.

The meeting was opened by the Dean of the Faculties of Agrobiology and Land Resources; Ecology and Landscape Architecture, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Nikolaevich Esaulko, who noted that the company "Syngenta" has been a partner of our faculties for many years. We keep in touch with the company both in the field of science and in the field of education. Strategic partnership allows us to train qualified personnel and conduct joint research. Thanks to cooperation with the company in 2019, a training class of the Syngenta company was created at the university.

The meeting was chaired by Yana Stepanova, manager of regional companies, and Irina Marus, head of technical support for the South Region. Yana Stepanova told the students about the "Syngenta" company and the scholarship program of the firm called "Syngenta Students". Irina Marus told in more detail about the project, which is being implemented for students of the "Agronomy".

"Syngenta" LLC has been implementing this project in Russia since 2007. It allows the most talented and motivated students to receive a company scholarship throughout the year; undergo practical training at a regional office; take part in seminars and Field Days. Work in the laboratory and in the experimental field will allow students to acquire skills in planning and conducting research, which will form the basis of a bachelor's work.

Since the start of the scholarship program at our university, more than 30 students of the "Agronomy" have become its winners. The practice in the company allowed not only to consolidate the theoretical knowledge gained in classrooms, but also to take another confident step towards a future career.
