At the Institute of Continuing Professional Education, the training of trainees on the additional general developmental program "Bases of Computer Literacy" was completed. It was organized for people of "silver age" living in the regional center. The training was carried out within the framework of an agreement concluded between the Stavropol State Agrarian University and the all-Russian public organization "Union of Pensioners of Russia". During the year, university professors helped 30 people master computer skills. The classes were free for the listeners. The funds for them were allocated by the Union of Pensioners of Russia.

The first certificates of completion of training were awarded to Emma Yakubovna Kumukova, Svetlana Alexandrovna Serebryanskaya and Lyubov Alekseevna Dziuba.

Taking into account the complexity of the epidemiological situation caused by the coronavirus infection, the celebration of the graduates was held in a chamber atmosphere. For the first time in three years of the program's implementation, graduates received their education documents at their workplaces. As it turned out, the knowledge gained during training under the program "Bases of Computer Literacy" is in demand by employers.

Two graduates have recently become employees of the Pension Fund management in Stavropol, another "student" is now working at one of the small businesses in the regional center. As all three students noted when receiving certificates of training, the knowledge gained was very useful for them at their new place of work.

The graduates were presented with documents on completion of training:

• Chairman of the all-Russian public organization "Union of Pensioners of Russia" for the Stavropol Territory Lyudmila Aleksandrovna Zubakina and

• Andrei Viktorovich Pankratov, Deputy Director of the Institute of Continuing Professional Education, Stavropol State Agrarian University.

The event was also attended by the heads of organizations where the former students work.

The training program for the financial literacy courses was designed for 32 auditory hours. It began with obtaining the simplest information - what is the informatization of society, the features of working on a personal computer. And it ended with the study of the rules for working with the portal of public services, in the personal accounts of banks, the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation, remote payment of utilities. The training was organized by the staff of the Institute of Continuing Professional Education of the University. Classes were conducted by Violetta Alexandrovna Filippova, a teacher of the Faculty of Secondary Professional Education of the University. For three years, more than 200 residents of the Stavropol Territory have been trained by the university's scientific and pedagogical staff under the program "Bases of Computer Literacy"
