The city of Solnechnodolsk hosted the Cup of the Stavropol Territory in memory of the first president of the Weightlifting Federation of the Stavropol Territory A. Korobeinikov in weightlifting. More than 100 athletes of the region took part in the Cup, among whom were students and a teacher of the Stavropol State Agrarian University.
As a result, Nina Vyacheslavovna Mukhortova, senior lecturer of the Department of Physical Education of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, won silver in the 64 kg category among women in a stubborn struggle with an advantage of 1 kg.
The competition was attended by students, whose places of honor were distributed as follows:
- Azamat Makiev, a 3rd year student of the biotechnology faculty, took the II place in his weight category;
- Fedor Yarovoy, a 4th year student of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources, took the 4th place in his weight category.
In the team event, the team of the Stavropol State Agrarian University won the bronze medal.
As a result of these competitions, a team of the Stavropol Territory will be formed to participate in the Russian Weightlifting Cup among men and women in Stary Oskol, which will be held from January 25 to February 02, 2021.
