The strategy for increasing the financial literacy of the population was developed taking into account the experience of the Project of the Ministry of Finance of Russia "Assistance in increasing the level of financial literacy of the population and the development of financial education in the Russian Federation" and adopted in 2017. The document is designed until 2023 and is aimed at increasing the number of financially educated citizens.
The meeting was opened by:
- Deputy Minister of Finance of the Stavropol Territory Yuri Ivanovich Suslov;
- Georgy Alekseevich Tikunov, Manager of the Department for the Stavropol Territory of the Southern Main Directorate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.
Representatives of ministries and educational institutions took part in the work of the commission. The Stavropol State Agrarian University was represented by the Dean of the Accounting and Finance Faculty, Doctor of Economics, Professor Elena Ivanovna Kostyukova.
In the course of their work, the experts spoke about the urgent tasks of implementing the regional program "Increasing the level of financial literacy of the population of the Stavropol Territory and the development of financial education in the Stavropol Territory until 2023".
