Work on the project of a world-class scientific and educational center at the Biotechnology Faculty

The Stavropol State Agrarian University is working on the preparation of an application for a mega-grant from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian with the Federal Project "Development of scientific and scientific-industrial cooperation" in 2021 to found a world-class scientific and educational center "Products of healthy food and active longevity. Food security".

At the Biotechnology Faculty, the Professor of the basic Department of Private Zootechnics, Selection and Breeding of Animals Sergey Aleksandrovich Oleinik met with the director of the Center for Biotechnological Engineering of the North Caucasus Federal University Georgy Sergeevich Anisimov, and the engineer of this center Vitaly Kravtsov.

The meeting discussed issues of accounting for milk production and assessment of milk quality, implemented in accordance with national requirements and recommendations of the International Committee for Animal Registration (ICAR) on the basis of the Center for Management of Highly Productive Genetic Resources of Livestock and the Laboratory for Selection Control of Milk Quality.

It was recognized as a promising area of ​​joining the efforts of universities and the production base of the dairy plant «Stavropolsky» to develop and form methodological approaches towards obtaining selected raw milk and meeting consumer demand for high-quality dairy products, including baby food.
