Interregional Forum dedicated to the Year of Science and Technology in Russia "Youth Science: Experience, Prospects, Innovations"

An interregional forum "Youth Science: Experience, Prospects, Innovations" dedicated to the opening of the Year of Science and Technology in Russia took place at Stavropol State Medical University. This is a reason to once again draw attention to the role of the scientific and educational sphere in enhancing the prestige of science and the implementation of large research projects. It is obvious that the program of events for the Year of Science and Technology will become decisive for the university community in the context of the strategy of scientific and technological development of Russia.

On the Day of Russian Science, leading scientists - vice-rectors for scientific work, deans and teaching staff of Stavropol State Agrarian University, Stavropol State Medical University, North Caucasus Federal University and universities of the scientific and educational medical cluster “North Caucasian" took part in the forum.

Olga Viktorovna Timofeeva, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, addressed the forum participants. She noted the role of scientific research in the formation of modern society, wished young scientists good luck and new discoveries.

An interesting and extensive program was prepared for young scientists and students. Participants were addressed by the curator for the North Caucasus Federal District of the Coordinating Council for Youth Affairs in the Scientific and Educational Spheres of the Council under the President of the Russian Federation T.V. Mamontova, Assistant to the Governor of Stavropol Territory, Chairman of the Regional Public Organization RSM D.S. Donetskiy, Deputy Head of the Department for Youth Policy of the Administration of the Government of Stavropol Territory I.A. Tarasova, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of Stavropol Territory A.A. Khripunova, Chairman of the Committee on Education, Science and Innovation Activities of Youth of the Youth Parliament under the Duma of Stavropol Territory A.V. Prasolova.

Vice-rector for scientific and innovative work of Stavropol State Agrarian University, Professor Alexei Nikolaevich Bobryshev made a report "The main directions of interuniversity cooperation in the field of science and innovation."

Within the framework of four discussion platforms, issues of interuniversity cooperation in Stavropol Territory and the North Caucasus Federal District, a strategy for the development of science, opportunities for the implementation of projects of young scientists, grant support, as well as issues of youth policy were discussed.
