All-Russian seminar-meeting on upbringing of students was held at the Moscow State University of Food Production

A seminar meeting chaired by Elena Druzhinina, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, was held at Moscow State University of Food Productions. The event, organized by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, was devoted to the discussion of the implementation of the Federal Law No 304-FZ dated July 31, 2020 "On Amendments to the Federal Law "On Education in the Russian Federation" concerning the education of students" in educational institutions of higher education.

The meeting was attended by 800 representatives of authorities, university rectors, vice-rectors for academic work and educational activities, heads of departments in the field of methodical work and youth policy.

Yana Sergeevna Avakyan, specialist of Educational Work and Social Issues Department of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, took part in the seminar-meeting from Stavropol State Agrarian University.

Elena Druzhinina, opening the seminar, noted that the systematization of educational work in higher educational institutions is one of the main tasks to be solved by representatives of universities. Yelena Druzhinina also emphasized the decisive role of students in the life of the state and society.

Speakers of the seminar-meeting were:

- D. V. Ashirov, Director of the Department of State Youth Policy of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science;

- T. S. Popova, Head of Methodology in the Field of Higher Education, Department for State Policy in the Field of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation;

- V.E. Tsibulnikova, Deputy Chairman of the Expert Council for Development of Civic Education and Socialization of Students, State Duma Committee on Education and Science;

- Rector of Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education "Moscow State University of Food Productions" M.G. Balykhin;

- Deputy Head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Education and Science B.A. Chernyshov;

- A.A. Bikbulatova, Vice-Rector for Educational Work of FSBEI VPO "Moscow State University of Food Production".

At the end of the meeting the Director of the Department of State Youth Policy of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science Denis Ashirov presented the results obtained by the working group on educational work in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education in 2020. He outlined the main goals and objectives of the event, and urged the participants of the meeting to actively discuss and exchange opinions on the topic of drafting documents stipulated by the Federal Law "On Amendments to the Federal Law 'On Education in the Russian Federation' on the upbringing of students".
