At the Saharezh recreation center in Yaroslavl, SSAU students as part of the delegation of the Stavropol Territory took an active part in the XXV open festival of working youth teams "Russian Winter". Despite the long absence, the delegation of the region was received very warmly and sincerely, charged with competitive spirit and desire to return next year for victory!

The spirit of real winter was felt thanks to the competitions "Hockey in felt boots", "Hawaiian football", "Tourist strip" in meter-long snowdrifts, and of course the hot Caucasian cuisine, which warmed all the festival participants in the 20-degree frost.

This year the Festival brought together 23 teams from 6 regions: Ryazan Region, Stavropol Territory, Komi Republic, Yaroslavl Region, Kostroma Region and Moscow. In total, 450 people have become project participants.

Pavel Krasnorutsky, Chairman of the RUY, member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech: “On behalf of the team of the Russian Union of Youth and on my own behalf, I am glad to welcome you at the opening of the XXV International Youth Festival “Russian Winter”! There are traditions that take shape and remain relevant for some time, but then gradually lose their brightness and popularity, become history. The Russian Winter Festival promotes a whole bunch of good and useful traditions. These are the traditions of Russian winter fun, traditions of a healthy lifestyle, family traditions. And the Festival itself has already become an integral part of the winter season, which means it is a good and well-established tradition. "

The event is aimed at developing communication between youth associations of the regions of the Russian Federation, countries of the near and far abroad, at expanding the spheres of international exchanges in the field of national culture. The Festival is also aimed at supporting and developing folk customs, identifying and supporting talented youth and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
