Open lesson "Accounting aspects of foreign economic activity" or "Around the world in 80 days"

As part of the plan for holding international events, an open lesson "Accounting aspects of foreign economic activity" or "Around the world in 80 days" was held. The competition was organized by the Faculty of Accounting and Finance for students of profiles: "Economic Security", "Accounting, Analysis and Audit".

The event has become traditional, it has been held 12 times already. During the study of the discipline "Accounting for foreign economic activity", students figured out the domestic method of accounting for foreign exchange and export-import transactions, learned how to identify risks based on the information support of foreign economic activity, use accounting information to make decisions at the level of an economic entity.

At the end of the study of the discipline, it would be excellent to learn more about the countries with which Russian organizations maintain partnerships.

Four teams took part in the presentations competition on the specifics of economic development, tax system and foreign trade activities of foreign countries. The teams represented:

· Brazil – Anna Ayrapetyan and Angelina Kuznetsova;

· Germany – Daria Shabalova and Alina Matyashova;

· Canada – Julia Basova and Valeria Deshevykh;

· Japan – Lolita Nechaeva and Svetlana Kvochkina.

The competition was evaluated by a competent jury consisting of:

– Dean of the Faculty of Accounting and Finance, Doctor of Economics, Professor Elena Ivanovna Kostyukova;

– Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor of the Department of Management Accounting Inna Borisovna Manzhosova;

– Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Management Accounting, Director of the LLC "Wines of Praskovei 2" Zhanna Yurievna Darienko;

– Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Financial Accounting Victoria Samvelovna Germanova.

In addition, interesting facts about the laws and customs of the studied countries were discussed, the audience asked questions and entered into discussion of controversial issues.

According to the results of the competition, Lolita Nechaeva and Svetlana Kvochkina took the first place, the second – Yulia Basova and Valeria Deshevykh, the third – Daria Shabalova and Alina Matyashova.
