SSAU students undergo practical training as part of the All-Russian consolidated team "Milk Standard"

Of course, one of the important goals of industrial practice for future graduates is to find a job, for enterprises – to bring up a qualified replacement for existing specialists. Students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Stavropol State Agrarian University became part of the All-Russian agricultural team "Milk Standard". Now they are undergoing practical training at the EkoNiva-AIC-holding enterprise in the Voronezh Region.

The practice allows students to gain practical experience and develop skills and abilities in various special disciplines. Also, interns lay down production experience, the results of which will be used when writing the final qualifying work. Trainees often return to their place of internship as young professionals. To become a host, an enterprise must provide a qualified mentor. An agreement is concluded between the parties; part of the costs of an intern can be reimbursed under the Rural Development Program.

During the working weeks, the members of the "Milk Standard" got to know each other, underwent trainings with EkoNiva specialists and set a number of tasks to become successful employees of the holding. In the future, students will be engaged in diagnostics, treatment, milking and feeding of animals, according to the schedule of the educational process of clinical practice.

After successful selection, students undergo technological practice at the enterprises of the holding, work under an employment contract as assistants to specialists of the corresponding profile, receive a salary and a bonus based on the results of work, are provided with seasonal overalls, accommodation in comfortable dormitories, two meals a day. The holding pays for the travel of students to the place of internship and back. Experienced specialists of the enterprise and invited experts read lectures for trainees on modern technologies in animal husbandry, agronomy, engineering and mechanization.

In three months, students fully immerse themselves in the production life of EkoNiva, get acquainted with the life of livestock breeding complexes, learn the basics and subtleties of veterinary medicine and animal husbandry at work, as well as study herd management, the specifics of feed procurement and pharmacology, and much more.
