Participation in the regional meeting

05.03.2021

The meeting was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory. The topic for discussion was "Agrochemical support of spring field work, early spring feeding of winter cereals and the specifics of its implementation in 2021 in the Stavropol Territory."

The meeting was attended by:

Head of the Department of Soil Science named after V.I. Tyulpanov, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Tskhovrebov Valery Sergeevich, besides him:

1. First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Stavropol Territory Dridiger Vyacheslav Viktorovich;

2. Deputy Head of Administration – Head of the Department of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of the Administration of the Soviet City District of the Stavropol Territory Kobernyakov Aleksey Ivanovich;

3. Deputy Head of the Branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Russian Agricultural Center" in the Stavropol Territory Anastasia Ivanovna Sidorova;

4. Director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Prikumskaya Experimental Breeding Station" Morozov Nikolai Alexandrovich;

5. Head of the meteorological station in Zelenokumsk Oseledko Alla Aleksandrovna;

6. Agronomist of the LLC "EuroChem Trading Rus" Gazizov Valentin Vladimirovich;

7. Leading specialist in agromarketing of LLC "PhosAgro-Stavropol" Kargalev Ivan Viktorovich.

At the meeting, the head of the Department of Soil Science named after V.I. Tyulpanov Tskhovrebov Valery Sergeevich drew attention to the factors that must be taken into account in the early-spring feeding:

1. State of the crops (an increase or absence of biomass, the quality of the passage of the phenophase, the presence of a secondary root system, etc.);

2. Nitrogen content (nitrate and ammonium) in the layer 0-20 and 20-40 and 0-100 cm, mg / kg;

3. Mobile phosphorus content, mg / kg;

4. Mobile sulfur content, mg / kg;

5. Productive moisture reserve in the arable and meter layer, mm;

6. Varietal composition of winter wheat;

7. Phytosanitary condition of soils.

Tskhovrebov Valery Sergeevich reported that winter wheat in the spring period at the very beginning of the growing season, after the emergence of seedlings and the weather forecast does not provide information about a steady increase in temperature in the next 2 weeks (spring did not come).

It is not recommended to carry out early spring feeding with nitrogen fertilizers except for ammonium sulfate, which can be applied to any February and even January windows, with relatively optimal moisture and physical properties.

He clarified that for frozen-thawed soil in the presence of a certain freezing (at least 5 cm) and the onset, according to forecasts, of a sharp warming, it is not recommended to apply fertilizers to top dressing (especially saltpeter), because threatens to wash off fertilizers from the field.

In his opinion, in the absence of freezing, the presence of high soil moisture, secondary root system and stable warming, fertilizers can be applied on frozen-thawed soil (and especially in the form of nitrate).

Tskhovrebov Valery Sergeevich paid special attention to the fact that with well-growing wheat plants and the onset of warm weather, it is possible to fertilize with various fertilizers:

– in the presence of an acute nitrogen deficiency (<15 mg / kg) in the soil – the first feeding with ammonium nitrate;

– in the absence of acute nitrogen deficiency - UAN or urea.

If, after overwintering, the leaf apparatus of wheat is severely damaged, the first feeding is only saltpeter.

The head of the department also informed those present at the meeting that:

– the warm winter of 2021 provokes the development of various pathogens in the soil and on plant debris;

– excessive application of nitrogen fertilizers contributes to the development of diseases; special attention should be paid to fields with a high nitrogen content;

– it is necessary to combine biological and chemical methods of control;

– a prerequisite for making any decision is a survey of the territory (soil-agrochemical and microbiological).
