Demonstration lecture "Forecasting: Myths and Reality"

At the Faculty of Economics in the Boiling Point, a demonstration lecture was held on the topic: "Forecasting: Myths and Reality", organized by: Doctor of Economics, Professor of the Department of Management and Management Technologies - Andrey Nikolaevich Baidakov.

The event covered such topics as:

· Past, present, future.

· Role and place of forecasting.

· Misconceptions, limitations and opportunities.

· Evolution and bifurcations.

· Tools and results.

Students took an active part in the discussion of the stated issues.

At the end of the event, the problems of developing the ability to predict in future specialists were identified. Based on the materials presented by the lecturer in detail, the criteria, levels and stages of the development of forecasting in society have been determined.

It is necessary to develop the ability to predict during the period of study at the university in professional-theoretical and professional-practical activities.

This ability is one of the main indicators of the competitiveness of a future specialist in socio-economic profiles and areas in the labor market.
