SSAU student became the winner of the competition "UMNIK Technet NTI"

06.04.2021

The purpose of the federal program "UMNIK" is to support young scientists. To participate in the competition, 273 applications were submitted, and 124 works were admitted to the final selection. From agrarian universities, 3 works were admitted to the final stage, 2 of which represented the Stavropol State Agrarian University. The winners of the competition "UMNIK Technet NTI", announced 30 works.

Among students, young scientists and graduate students of agricultural universities of the country, Stavropol State Agrarian University became the only winner.

The first place and a grant for the implementation of the project were won by a 4th year student of the Faculty of Electricity Linara Enverovna Mazinova. The theme of the competition work: "Development of a shaker for industrial gardening based on a linear electric drive." The project was mentored by Sergey Nikolaevich Antonov, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Electrical Energy in Agriculture.

The development meets the challenges of the modern agro-industrial complex. The current level of production of fruits and berries in our country does not provide enough of them from the consumption rate required by a person. An important place in increasing the efficiency of gardening is occupied by technical devices that replace heavy manual labor. Harvesting accounts for up to 40% of all labor costs. The analysis of harvesting methods distinguishes 4 groups, such as manual, semi-mechanized, mechanized and robotic.

“The robotic method is the most promisingly developing method of harvesting, while at this stage of development the following disadvantages have been identified: the lack of universal software for determining the ripeness of fruits and berries, the lack of design techniques for robotic harvesting devices, low productivity and efficiency of devices. The development of modern robotic harvesting devices should make the most efficient use of the capabilities of the linear electric drive ", - explained Linara Mazinova

The proposed device for shaking off fruits and berries can be used both for hand tools in small horticultural farms, and as part of a semi-mechanized, mechanized and robotic harvesting line. The main advantages of the shaker are increased reliability and service life, low weight, overall dimensions, as well as the possibility of automatic control, which will increase the productivity of the line. The shaker and the linear electric motor are patented.

Also, the winners of the "UMNIK Technet NTI" competition will receive a grant for the implementation of a scientific and technical idea in the amount of 500 thousand rubles for 2 years.
