VII All-Russian week of financial literacy for children and youth started at the Agrarian University

Within the walls of Stavropol State Agrarian University, the grand opening of the 7th All-Russian Week of Financial Literacy for Children and Youth took place. The annual educational marathon - Financial Literacy Week is held as part of the traditional global campaign Global Money Week, the motto of which this year is “Take care of yourself and your money”.

The purpose of the Week as an all-Russian educational and educational campaign is to tell young people how to responsibly manage their personal finances, give answers to the main questions of young people about money, explain to parents why competent financial education is so necessary in the modern world and what tools need to be used for it. The key topics of the Week this time will be combating financial fraud, youth entrepreneurship, and dialogue between generations about family finances.

Therefore, on this day, it is no coincidence that schoolchildren and students of universities and secondary vocational educational institutions of the Stavropol Territory gathered at the Boiling Point of Stavropol State Agrarian University.

The organizer of the Week in the Territory, together with partners, is the Regional Center for Financial Literacy under the Ministry of Finance of the Stavropol Territory.

During the week from April 5 to April 11, Stavropol youth can take part in a series of events on financial literacy, the schedule of which can be found on the website of the regional program "Increasing the level of financial literacy of the population of the Stavropol Territory and the development of financial education in the Stavropol Territory for 2019 - 2023" - Fingram26.ru in the "Calendar" section.

The Stavropol State Agrarian University provided great assistance and support in organizing and conducting the Week of Financial Literacy.

In his greeting, the rector of the Stavropol State Agrarian University Professor Ivan Vyacheslavovich Atanov noted that increasing the level of financial literacy of young people is one of the urgent tasks of the University.

In honor of the opening of the Financial Literacy Week, three interactive platforms were organized for those present at the Boiling Point of the Agrarian University.

In the transformer lecture hall “AtriUM” for students of economic specialties of the North Caucasus Social Institute, North Caucasus Federal University, Stavropol branch of RANEPA, Stavropol State Agrarian University - the intellectual game “What? Where? When?". In the hall "ProjektoriUM" the game "Fate of Kingdoms" was held for schoolchildren. On the third site, students of secondary vocational educational institutions met to compete in the board game tournament "In the Footsteps of Monopoly".

The games were moderated by the Deputy Chairman of the Primary Professional Organization of StSAU Students Vladimir Avakyan, employees of the Department of Financial Management and Banking Yulia Mikhailovna Sklyarova, Elena Nikolaevna Lapina, Lyudmila Anatolyevna Latysheva, Elena Anatolyevna Ostapenko, Larisa Vladimirovna Kuleshova, Tamara Vasilievna Financier".

More than 80 children from the Stavropol Territory tested their financial knowledge, showed their erudition and showed their leadership qualities in financial literacy tournaments. The participants had to complete tasks and answer questions on the following topics: insurance, loans, rules for the use of plastic cards, taxation, consumer protection and many others.
