Workshop: online trading and playing on the stock exchange

As part of the project "Week of Faculties in NTI", the Department of Finance, Credit and Insurance, together with the investment company Finam-Stavropol LLC, held a practical workshop teaching stock trading skills.

Director of the investment company Lyubov Mikhailovna Butaliy demonstrated practical experience in working with trading terminals. She noted that online trading can be carried out in several financial markets at once, thanks to a large selection of platforms. Quik is suitable for professionals, and Transaq is suitable for teaching work in the domestic financial markets. Quik - has a powerful toolkit for processing stock information with a wide range of functions - from viewing and analyzing stock quotes to making transactions. Transaq - has its own module for automating exchange activities, supports algorithmic trading and has a built-in scalping toolkit. Those who enter the exchange market for the first time should use a demo account on the FinamTrade trading platform, it is considered a simpler terminal.

Associate professor of the department Yulia Evgenievna Klishina, highlighted the relevance of the event, since at present electronic systems of Internet trading have taken over the servicing of traders' operations. These trading systems provide high speed access to financial markets and the most attractive prices. In addition, the functionality of modern systems allows you to conduct analytical work inside the trading terminal online.

The trainees installed the Transaq mobile applications on their devices, opened trading accounts and made their first operations in the stock market. At the workplaces of financial brokers, they learned how to work with the Quik trading terminal, form their own investment portfolio and draw up a trading strategy.

At the end of the workshop, Lyubov Mikhailovna invited the most active students to undergo summer industrial practice, with the possibility of subsequent employment in an investment company.
