Laboratory practical lesson to expand the competence of future zootechnicians and veterinarians

Practical training is an important element of consolidating the acquired knowledge to deepen and detail the skills of professional activity. At the Biotechnology Faculty and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, a joint lesson was held for future zootechnicians and veterinarians.

Within the framework of cooperation between the basic department of private animal husbandry, selection and breeding of animals (professor Elena Edugartovna Epimakhova) and the department of parasitology and veterinary sanitary examination, anatomy and pathological anatomy named after V.I. Professor S.N. Nikolsky (Associate Professor Valentina Mikhailovna Shpygova, Associate Professor Viktor Vasilyevich Mikhailenko), a practical laboratory lesson was held.

Students of specialties took part in the work: veterinary medicine, animal science, veterinary and sanitary examination. As part of the lesson, the incubation waste of eggs and young chickens of the Dominant ZZ crosses (Czech Republic) was opened to diagnose the causes of embryonic mortality and assess the quality of day-old chicks. The biological material was provided by Agrokormservis Plus LLC.
