Five Steps to a Successful Career

At the Faculty of Accounting and Finance, the lecturers of the department "Finance, Credit and Insurance" organized a lecture for students "How to become a master of corporate finance?" together with representatives of Rosneft.

The Stavropol State Agrarian University has been cooperating with Rosneft for many years in various areas within the framework of the concluded cooperation agreement. Yulia Nikolaevna Manokhina, Deputy General Director for Economics and Finance of the Oil Company Rosneft-Stavropolye Joint Stock Company, spoke in detail about the activities of the largest oil corporation in the world, its complex management structure. Yulia Nikolaevna dwelled on the specifics of the work of the planning and economic department shared her practical experience in financial planning.

The lecturer spoke about the corporate mentoring system for young employees. This system applies to all young professionals and is valid during the first three years of their work in the corporation. The result of mentoring is the writing of scientific papers and projects by young specialists, with which they participate in a competition organized by the head office of JSC NK Rosneft-Stavropolye both at the regional and national levels.

During the meeting, they also discussed the necessary competencies that applicants for vacant positions in JSC NK Rosneft-Stavropol should possess. Yulia Nikolaevna spoke about the personnel reserve that the corporation has and the opportunity for young specialists to leave their resume and join it.

The lecture aroused great interest among the students. At the end of the event, students inquired about the possibility of internship and internship at the corporation.

The representative of the company highly appreciated the quality of training students and graduates of SSAU and suggested expanding and systematizing the work to attract students to practice, and graduates to work in the structural divisions of the company.
