Future employers talked about financial fraud and social engineering, ways to protect and prevent. According to the Bank of Russia, the most common type of fraud remains social engineering - misleading by deception or abuse of trust. More than 80% of cases of theft account for this method of obtaining unauthorized access to confidential information.
Future financial services professionals were introduced to terms such as cybersecurity and social engineering. In the case of social engineering, fraudsters manipulate people to gain or access information from them.
Experts of the partner company and speakers - Irina Sheina, Sergey Mosoyan, Anastasia Krinchiyan - spoke about the most popular ways of influencing fraudsters, methods of detecting fraud and combating it.
Also, the guests of the university talked with students about practice and work. The most popular skills for employment, as the speakers noted, are the ability to process and critically evaluate information, the ability to work in a team, represent and defend one's point of view in a civilized manner, solve problems, as well as the ability to see gaps in one's knowledge and, most importantly, to eliminate them.
