15.04.2021

For students of 1, 2 and 3 years of study of training profiles "Agronomy", "Fruit and vegetable growing" and "Plant protection" there was held an open lecture on the topic: "Production of environmentally friendly vegetables in greenhouses." The main goal of the Holding is the production of vegetables, which significantly surpass imported products in taste and useful properties.

The lecture was opened by the Dean of the Faculties of Agrobiology and Land Resources and Ecology and Landscape Architecture, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor of the Department of Agrochemistry and Plant Physiology, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Honored Worker of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Nikolaevich Esaulko.

The lecturers were representatives of the agro-industrial holding "ECO-culture": Yulia Valerievna Shkamratova - Deputy Director of the HR Department for Training and Development, Moscow; Sabina Lavrentievna Gurbaz - leading agronomist agrochemist, town Solnechnodolsk; Elena Alekseevna Polousova - head of the personnel department, town Solnechnodolsk; Tatiana Andreevna Kolmychenko - training specialist, town Solnechnodolsk.

Yulia Valerievna told that the agro-industrial holding "ECO-culture" is the leading agricultural enterprise in the country that specializes in growing tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce and sets new quality standards for indoor vegetables in Russia. The production capacity of the Holding is more than 300 hectares of high-tech greenhouses, which are located in Stavropol Territory, Leningrad, Lipetsk, Tula, Moscow, Rostov and Voronezh regions.

Sabina Lavrentievna reported that modern agricultural technologies, specialized software, as well as constant selection work on testing various hybrids allow the Holding to grow tasty, fragrant and at the same time environmentally friendly vegetables throughout the calendar year. The microclimate in greenhouses is completely controlled and monitored by a computer on which an automated control system is installed. It regulates heating, cooling, shading, CO2 levels. A special employee monitors the system 24 hours a day, but she herself, when needed, supplies nutrients, opens the curtains or vents. Thus, an ideal microclimate is constantly maintained in greenhouses, which significantly affects the quality of products and crop yields.

As a result of the lecture, students asked questions, to which they received clear answers. Further, the speakers of the agro-industrial holding "ECO-culture" informed the students that they would be glad to see them in their company during technological and pre-graduation practices, as well as they would be ready to hire the best of the best following the results of the internship.

After the lecture, a working meeting was held between the Dean of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources Alexander Nikolaevich Esaulko, Deputy Dean for Practices Alena Yuryevna Ozheredova, head of the COPP Yulia Aleksandrovna Gunko with representatives of the ECO-culture holding, during which further interaction was discussed.
