Economic analysts held a strategic session on the development of agricultural markets

The Faculty of Economics organized at the University’s Tochka Kipeniya a strategic session “Trends and Prospects for the Development of Agricultural Markets in Russia” with the participation of representatives of the Russian Agricultural Bank, a marketing analyst of an agricultural holding in the region and small agribusiness entities of the Stavropol Territory (listeners of the “Farmer’s School” project).

The organizer and moderator of the meeting was Yekaterina Grigorievna Agalarova, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Theory, Marketing and Agroeconomics.

As experts of the strategic session were invited:

· Head of the department for work with clients of microbusiness Victor Petrovich Reshetnikov;

· Acting Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Doctor of Economics, Professor Olga Nikolaevna Kusakina;

· Olesya Vladimirovna Nikanorova, deputy head of the department for work with clients of small and medium-sized businesses;

· Olga Nikolaevna Onezhkina, a leading marketer of LLC Agroholding Energomera;

· Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Theory, Marketing and Agroeconomics Elena Aleksandrovna Kosinova.

As part of the strategic session, topics for discussion were presented:

- trends in the development of agricultural markets (vegetables, milk and dairy products, oilseeds) in the context of the national agri-food policy, taking into account regional specifics;

- tools for market analysis and promotion of agricultural products;

- state support for agribusiness entities and the prospects for the development of the agrarian sector of the Russian economy in the context of modern challenges.

The meeting participants discussed the presented reports and received an expert assessment on the issues under consideration.
