Week of the “Engineering Block” in Tochka Kipeniya of Stavropol State Agrarian University

From April 12 to April 16, on the basis of the scientific site “Tochka Kipeniya” of Stavropol State Agrarian University, a week of the Engineering Block was held, where the Faculty of Power Engineering and the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization held 18 events on the agenda of the National Technological Initiative. All of them were implemented within the framework of the ongoing at the university project “Week of Faculties at STI”.

Among the most striking events, one can single out a series of scientific and practical conferences organized by the Faculty of Power Engineering for both students and young scientists, as well as the teaching staff of the university.

These events include the international scientific and practical conference “Technological Solutions and Instrumentation for Agribusiness”, within the STI FoodNet market segments; scientific-practical conference of young scientists of the Faculty of Electricity “Energy of the Future: within the framework of the STI EnergyNet market”; student scientific and practical conference “Youth, Science, Space”, dedicated to the celebration of the Day of Cosmonautics.

Another memorable event in Tochka Kipeniya of Stavropol State Agrarian University was the round table “Actual directions of development of agro engineering science and the prospects for participation of employees and students of SSAU”. This meeting-discussion of representatives of the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization on the development of modern engineering science in the field of agro-industrial production was aimed at considering the development trends of this scientific direction in Russia, informing about the directions of scientific research conducted at the Faculty of Mechanization, about the participation of students in solving urgent agro engineering problems.

Gaming learning technologies have also become a popular format this week. Intellectual games and quizzes “MechanicUm”, “Own game”, “Metrology - exact science”, “Where is the logic?”, “Brainstorming in the analysis of mathematical sophisms” were held. Such events were of a pronounced interactive nature and concerned the academic disciplines that students are currently studying. Intellectual games made it possible for students to show the best intellectual qualities, erudition, expanded their knowledge in various fields of science and formed the ability to work in a team.

Two interesting master classes for students should be noted separately. These are master classes “Defect detection of parts and assembly units” for determining the suitability of parts and “I am a pro” for the design and operation of modern diesel engines.

All events were of a practice-oriented scientific and innovative nature (scientific and practical conferences, intellectual games, master classes, business games, round tables, etc.) and covered a wide range of topics from strategic issues of the development of new technologies and technical means of production and processing of products Agro-industrial complex before the development of students’ soft-skills. In general, more than 1,400 people took part in this week in Tochka Kipeniya site.
