Field class of MGIMO Master’s students at the enterprises of the Stavropol Territory

The MGIMO Master’s program “Global Agrarian Markets” includes classes at the leading agro-industrial enterprises of the Stavropol Territory. The students of the program delve into all the intricacies of modern agriculture, have a unique opportunity to ask questions to successful entrepreneurs.

The students visited the base of one of the largest enterprises in the Stavropol Territory, LLC Agrofirma Selo named after G.V. Kaishev, in Predgorny district. The agricultural company has been among the best agricultural enterprises for many years, and has received many awards. The main branch of activity is animal husbandry (dairy herd).

The students were accompanied by the General Director of LLC Agrofirma Selo named after G.V. Kaishev Yuri G. Kaishev.

LLC Agrofirma Village named after G.V. Kaishev is a modern enterprise that follows the vector of development of the country’s agro-industrial complex. The audience was shown the latest equipment and shared their experience of not only running such a large farm, but also the intricacies of the economic development of an agricultural firm.

Another practical lesson was held at LLC Pyatigorsk Dairy Plant, the main topic of the work was the study of milk processing methods. Pyatigorsk Dairy Plant has its own agricultural farm with a design capacity of 1,800 dairy cows (2,500 total livestock). This is one of the first innovative farms in Russia.

Konstantin Borisovich Sukharev, General Director of LLC Pyatigorsk Dairy Plant, answered the questions of the undergraduates.

The group was also accompanied by Olga Vladimirovna Oksenenko, Production Director of LLC Pyatigorsk Dairy Plant.

Director of the Center for Advanced Professional Training of the Stavropol Territory Yulia Alexandrovna Gunko,

Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor of the Department of Private Animal Science, Selection and Breeding of Animals Sergey Aleksandrovich Oleinik.

The listeners learned a lot of new information "firsthand" about the creation and conduct of an agricultural business in the Stavropol Territory.
