The third day of classes on the MGIMO Master’s program “G Agrarian Markets”

During a week spent in the Stavropol Territory, students of the MGIMO Master’s program “Global Agrarian Markets” will study the theory and practice of the best agricultural enterprises in the Stavropol Territory. The third day was held in field classes at LLC EPE “Luch” and the “Center for Grain Quality Assessment”.

A field session at the LLC Experimental Production Enterprise “Luch” (Novoselytsky District) was conducted by General Director Grigory Fedorovich Dontsov. The main branch of EPE is crop production. “Luch” is one of the largest and most successfully developing seed-growing organizations in the Stavropol Territory. The main activity is industrial propagation of seeds of higher reproductions of grain crops. LLC EPE “Luch” from year to year confirms the honorary title “Farm of high culture of agriculture”.

Then the undergraduates held a lesson at the Stavropol branch of the Grain Quality Assessment Center. The center is a testing laboratory, a certification body in the certification system for food products, food raw materials and feeds, an inspection body, a provider in conducting qualification checks of testing (analytical) laboratories through interlaboratory comparative tests (ISI). The students learned about the implementation of a unified state policy in the field of ensuring the quality and safety of grain, cereals, compound feeds and components for their production, as well as by-products of grain processing, quarantine and plant protection, safe handling of pesticides and agrochemicals, and seed production.
