Students from SSAU took part in the Victory Parade

12.05.2021

Despite the rain, several thousand people gathered in the centre of Stavropol. The parade took place in the usual format, with participants observing the mask mode and social distance. The parade was opened by a composite group of cadet drummers from the Stavropol Presidential Cadet School. For the first time, pupils of the Aksai Cossack Cadet Corps also took part in the parade; Cossacks and young soldiers marched through the square.

More than 2,000 people and about 90 pieces of military equipment took part in the Victory Parade in Stavropol.

The mechanised column was led by the Tiger-M and BTR-82A vehicles. They followed a T-72B tank, an Arrow-10 surface-to-air missile system, the Grad multiple-launch rocket system, 2S12A Sani and 2B14 Podnos, the Thorn-MDM automated tactical mobile radio control system, the TDA-3 smoke machine and the Orlan-10 multi-purpose drone system. The military vehicles of the military police and fire-fighting and rescue equipment of the Regional Emergency Situations Department completed the march.

Then the students of the Stavropol State Agrarian University unfurled on the square the biggest replica of the Victory Banner in the world at an area of 1,500 square meters.

Then the theatrical part of the parade began - more than 200 actors presented the main stages of the war on improvised stages on truck platforms.
