Students got acquainted with the main stages of tourism development in the North Caucasus, learned about the first travelers and their scientific interests, about the activities of the Caucasian Mountain Society, the tour desk.
The exhibition widely shows the types of tourism, tourist routes aimed at scientific and educational purposes and representing a whole system of organizing tourist leisure. The formation of the tourist business is inextricably linked with mountaineering, as evidenced by special exercises conducted in the mountains to train qualified instructors, guides and rescuers.
In total, the exhibition presents more than 300 unique archival documents and printed publications.
