Intra-university Olympiad in economic theory

The main goal of the Olympiad is to popularize science, develop an economic way of thinking among young people, create optimal conditions for identifying and further intellectual development of gifted and talented students. The Olympiad in economic theory was held in an online format, a total of 56 1st year students of the Faculty of Economics and Accounting and Finance took part in the Olympiad.

The organizing committee and the methodological commission of the Olympiad included teachers from the Department of Economic Theory, Marketing and Agroeconomics: Professor Olga Nikolaevna Kusakina, Associate Professor Natalya Anatolyevna Dovgotko, Associate Professor Elizaveta Viktorovna Skiperskaya, Professor Igor Vladimirovich Gruzkov and Associate Professor Galina Viktorovna Tokareva .

In general, the Olympiad tasks were based on the application of key economic concepts, included tests and tasks of a high degree of complexity, and some points of the Olympiad task were interdisciplinary and required the ability to build a logical chain of reasoning.

Summing up the results of the Olympiad in economic theory, the winners are:

1st place - Khakhalev Aleksey Sergeevich, 1st year student of the Accounting and Finance Faculty, specialty "Economic Security" (91 points out of 100 possible).

2nd place - Ushakova Nelly Valerievna, 1st year student of the Accounting and Finance Faculty, specialty "Economic Security" (87 points out of 100 possible).

The winners of the Olympiad in Economic Theory were awarded 1st and 2nd degree diplomas, and all other students received certificates of participants.

In conclusion, the participants of the event noted that the Olympiad was a good opportunity to test not only their knowledge, intuition and logic, but also to master the skills of working in new communication formats, such as the Boiling Point.
