The Faculty of Economics, as a regional platform of the Free Economic Society, entered the FES system of Russia

For more than two decades, the Faculty of Economics has been the base platform of the Stavropol regional public organization of the All-Russian public organization "Free Economic Society of Russia" (Stavropol Regional Public Organization FES Russia). The Free Economic Society of Russia (FES Russia) is the first civil society institution in the country, the oldest public organization in Europe and the world - founded by the Decree of Empress Catherine the Great on November 11 (October 31, old style) in 1765.

By a resolution of the FES Russia Presidium, it was decided to include the Stavropol regional public organization of the All-Russian public organization "Free Economic Society of Russia" in the FES system of Russia and issue a certificate of the FES of Russia.

The decision was made last year, but in the face of a pandemic, the documents came to the university in 2021.

Today the regional organization is headed by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Doctor of Economics, Professor Olga Nikolaevna Kusakina.

The participation of the Stavropol Regional Public Organization FES of Russia in the activities of the All-Russian public organization "Free Economic Society of Russia" is carried out in the following areas:

- scientific and practical / expert and analytical;

- information and publishing;

- educational;

- international activity and development of cooperation.

Today FES of Russia includes 65 regional organizations, more than 300,000 members: practical economists, scientists and experts, government officials, the business community, and public figures.

Cooperation of the Stavropol Regional Public Organization FES of Russia with the Free Economic Society of Russia is aimed at identifying and solving the problems of integrated development of the regional economy, as a guarantor of sustainable development of the national economy of Russia.

FES of Russia today unites over 300 thousand members: economists-practitioners, leading scientists and experts, government officials, the business community, public figures, has branches in almost all regions of the Russian Federation.

FES of Russia organizes authoritative, large-scale forums, conferences, congresses, round tables, contests, exhibitions and other events that traditionally arouse wide interest and have a positive response in public, scientific, government and information circles in the Russian Federation and abroad.

Members of the FES of Russia have united their efforts in order to form public opinion on the most important issues of the country's economic development, actively cooperate with government agencies, assess various projects and programs, conduct research work, advise representatives of federal, regional and local authorities on current issues. economic policy.
