Plenary session of the International educational and methodological conference of SSAU "Higher education: modern challenges and development trends"

The Agrarian University hosted a conference "Higher Education: Modern Challenges and Development Trends", which included representatives of several universities.

In his welcoming speech to the conference participants, the Rector of the Stavropol State Agrarian University Ivan Vyacheslavovich Atanov noted that in the Russian educational space, in order to improve the professional competence of graduates, there was a transition to the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education 3 ++, focused on professional standards, and this requires improving the educational process, increasing variability educational programs, development of digital competencies. Ivan Vyacheslavovich drew the attention of those present to the serious tasks facing the system of higher education, and to many challenges, the answers to which the conference participants wished to find and share the accumulated experience with colleagues.

Professor of Kolping University of applied sciences I Lithuanian Sport University (Kaunas) Regina Navickiene, associate professor and head of the Department of Tourism and Service of the Faculty of Social and Cultural Service and Tourism Anna Grigorievna Ivolga, shared their bilateral experience in the implementation of open classes with the invitation of a foreign professor.

Anastasia Vladimirovna Kurpik, Head of the Grodno Agro-Industrial Park UO Grodno State Agrarian University (Republic of Belarus) and Dean of the Faculty of Accounting of UO Grodno State Agrarian University (Republic of Belarus) Svetlana Yurievna Shcherbatyuk, spoke about the use of foresight technologies in shaping the image of a competent specialist in digital agribusiness.

In the report on the topic “Inclusive higher education as a social lift for young people with disabilities and disabilities” Galina Yurievna Kozlovskaya, Associate Professor of the Department of Defectology, Deputy Director of the RUMC for Information and Advisory Work and DOP of the North Caucasus Federal University, touched upon the most pressing problems and solutions of inclusive education in Russia.

Olga Viktorovna Anikueva, Deputy Dean for Educational Work of the North Caucasus Social Institute, shared her experience in teaching IT disciplines in a pandemic.

In her report, Olga Sergeevna Zvyagintseva, Associate Professor of the Department of Management and Management Technologies of the Faculty of Economics of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, presented the current aspects of the Startup as a Diploma program, which is aimed at involving talented students in the development of the ecosystem of technological entrepreneurship, as well as supporting businesses that are at an initial stage. The development and implementation of a training program for applicants and university teachers in the preparation of start-ups as FQPs are provided for by the Digital Economy program. Olga Sergeevna spoke about the practical implementation of this program in Russian universities.

Further, the participants of the plenary session of the conference heard a speech by Olga Nikolaevna Shmatko, Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy and History of the Center for Educational Process Management, who focused on the problems of teaching humanitarian disciplines in the framework of agrarian education. Elena Arturovna Vakhtina, Associate Professor of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Automation and Metrology of the Faculty of Electricity, presented proposals for possible alternatives for the implementation of laboratory work and projects in a remote format. Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology and Landscape Construction of the Faculty of Ecology and Landscape Architecture Svetlana Vasilievna Okrut spoke about the experience of introducing practice-oriented forms of work into the educational process. Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Head of the Department of Physiology, Surgery and Obstetrics of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Andrei Nikolaevich Kvochko, in his report, touched upon topical issues of functioning and changes in the activities of dissertation councils of the Russian Federation.

The conference ended with a fruitful discussion, during which the most important issues of the educational space that aroused keen interest of the participants were discussed. The results of the conference results will be presented in the collection of works.
