Registration tests of fungicides on winter wheat crops in the second soil and climate zone of the Russian Federation

03.06.2021

The constantly growing infectious background necessitates the use of fungicides, and the protracted rainy spring of 2021 proved that infections in such conditions begin to progress, requiring new protection strategies. If the economic threshold of disease severity is exceeded, there is a risk of crop loss. Therefore, phytosanitary control of crops becomes especially important, starting from the tillering phase, when the ear is being laid, and up to harvesting.

Employees of the Department of Chemistry and Plant Protection, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Anna Petrovna Shutko, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor Lyudmila Vasilievna Tuturzhans and Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor Lyudmila Alekseevna Mikhno on the basis of the phytosanitary monitoring laboratory annually conduct registration tests of fungicides in order to establish regulations for the use of new plant protection products (in accordance with the requirements of Federal Law No. 109-FL of July 19, 1997 "On the Safe Handling of Pesticides and Agrochemicals").

In the current growing season, studies of the biological effectiveness of fungicides against causative agents of leaf and stem diseases and root rot of winter wheat in winter wheat crops are carried out on the basis of the peasant farm Zubenko Yakov Mikhailovich of the Petrovsky urban district. In accordance with the program of research work in the heading phase, winter wheat was treated with fungicides according to the experimental scheme.
