Participation in the meeting of the Federal Educational and Methodological Association for the enlarged group of specialties and areas of training 36.00.00 veterinary and animal science

Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology Faculty Valentin Sergeevich Skripkin took part in an on-line meeting of the Federal Educational and Methodological Association for the enlarged group of specialties and areas of training 36.00.00 veterinary and animal science.

The main speaker was the Chairman of the Federal Educational and Methodological Association - Sergei Vladimirovich Pozyabin, Rector of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology - MVA named after K.I. Scriabin ", which revealed the key topics on the activities of FEMA for the reporting year 2021, namely:

- Updating and adapting to new changes in the existing federal state educational standards (FSES) and developing professional standards in these areas, preparing relevant proposals to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation on FSES projects;

- Implementation of methodological support for the implementation of the Federal State Educational Standard;

- Organization of development and examination of projects of exemplary educational programs;

- Provision of scientific and methodological and educational and methodological support for the development and implementation of educational programs;

- Requirements for the compliance of the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education with the associated PS in the specialty and areas of training;

- Participation in the development of veterinary residency programs.

It was determined that the first residency in Russia for veterinary specialists is planned to be opened as an experiment in the networking of Don State Technical University, Stavropol State Agrarian University and other agricultural universities in 2022. The project will be aimed at training domain specialists in the field of veterinary medicine, and most of the teachers will not be university teachers, but practicing veterinarians from the leading veterinary clinics of our country.
