The preparation and writing of a doctoral dissertation is, on the one hand, a creative process, and on the other hand, it presupposes knowledge of the requirements for the procedure for preparing and submitting a dissertation at various stages of its consideration (department, dissertation council, HAC). Working on a doctoral dissertation is a difficult and often insufficiently understandable process for the applicant, requiring not only broad erudition and professional training, but also the ability to competently organize their own work: to plan, implement and control the correctness of specific cases.
Stavropol State Agrarian University has always carried out large-scale scientific work in different directions. Today, the university employs a young energetic team, the average age of the teaching staff is 39 years. 94% of scientific and pedagogical workers have an academic degree and title, of which 25% are doctors of sciences - this is one of the best indicators among Russian universities.
The university hosted a meeting between the Acting Rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University, Doctor of Economics, Professor Alexander Vladimirovich Trukhachev with applicants for the degree of Doctor of Science.
The purpose of the meeting was to help applicants for a Ph.D. degree in the correct organization of their activities using effective working methods, rules and logical conclusions. At the meeting, the most significant moments of the main stages of preparation and writing of a doctoral dissertation were considered in detail.
Particular attention is paid to the issues of competent drawing up of the structure of the dissertation research and the proposed plan of publications on this work, as well as issues of self-control, the applicant’s ability to independently check the compliance of the work on the dissertation with the goal, the characteristics of the subject and object of research, the correspondence of the written parts of the work to the formulated tasks, to see the need for adjustments in the process of writing a work.
Alexander Vladimirovich Trukhachev emphasized that the dissertation is an indicator of the qualifications of a scientist and his abilities to logically and clearly present his research to the scientific community. When publicly defending it, the author will first of all demonstrate the integrity and independence of the research, as well as his scientific maturity.
During the meeting, the defended applicants, Ivan Valentinovich Kireev and Alexander Viktorovich Loshakov, were awarded valuable gifts and received recognition from the administration and colleagues.
