The Deputy Head of the Veterinary Department of the Stavropol Region, Vladimir Andreyevich Demidenko, made a presentation on the measures to prevent the occurrence and spread of avian influenza in the territory of the Stavropol Region.
The meeting dealt with the prevention of African swine fever, avian influenza and foot and mouth disease.
Instructions were given to strictly comply with the conditions stipulated by the decision on establishing the status of regions of the Russian Federation for contagious animal diseases and conditions for the movement of goods subject to state veterinary supervision, approved by Rosselkhoznadzor on 20.01.2017, in relation to foot-and-mouth disease.
The Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology, Professor Valentin Sergeevich Skripkin, took part in the meeting. The issues of veterinary welfare of the subordinate territories were considered. Following the consideration of the issues, a protocol was adopted with the operative part.
